But like cant u just like rent a boat at raging buffalo? like in sonwboarding you can rent the equitment.

The only thing is, i dunno if i am going to like wakeboarding , i probably will, but i dont think my parents are gunna want to by a boat right oof the bat.

The only thing i really want to know, is if you have to buy a boat in order to wakeboard. Also do like have to buy passes to go with/through RB, cause it sounds like to me that u can wakeboard in the river right behind RB...i am SO confused!

By the way thanks guys for your help!

Hey-

i have a few questions for all thos wakeboarders!  ok here we go!

-Do u have to own your own equitment such as, lifevest, boat, board and such?

-How much does it cost?((like everything...just give me info on things like equitment u can rent, or anytihng reall))

and

- How hard was it when u first learned how to wakeboard? On a scale from 1-10 (if expirenced, when u started out), 10 being hard, and 1 being easy

THANX!!!

In my oppinion if you think you are really gonna get into wakeboarding , if your family has the money it would be a good idea to go with the wakeboard boat at the start, sure you can get a cheeper boat now, but then if you really get into wakeboarding its not gonna be what you want, and then that was a real expensive mistake if you want to buy a wakeboard boat next year. because a nice wakeboard boat is made for wakeboardin, but is also a very well built high qulity boat that is gonna have a nice system in it, gotta have the tunes. also alot of the new wakeboard boats can seat many people. and

since ur not sure if u like wakeboarding or not, id suggest taking a lesson with RB for a half day, it might b expensive but its better than not knowing if you like it or not

OK, i learned how to water-ski before i could walk so ive been doing it for a long time now. but i must say that wakeboarding is definately one of the easiest water sports i have ever tried because of the lack of energy thats needed. the boat only goes 20-23 mph so u can hold on to the rope for as long as the boat driver can stand it. and as far as getting up for the first time goes... i have brought a lot of people out skiing before and i would say 4 out of 5 people get up on a wakeboard first/second try. i would highly consider taking up wakeboarding because it is absolutely an amazing sport.

NOW... as far as money goes you can really get carried away with prices.

your going to need a board ($200-600)

Bindings ($100-370)

rope and handle ($20-200)

a boat ($lots$)

Depending on what boat u got, u might need some ballast (weight to sink the boat in the water) - you can do this one of two ways:    1)go out and buy some very expensive fat-sacs and a pump      2) makes friends with very fat people and invite them for a boat ride (only do this on cloudy days due to the danger of them wanting to take their shirt off )

hope i helped some and good luck to ya!

well it depends on if your really going to use the boat! if your going to buy a boat but keep it in your driveway for the whole summer, dont bother buying an exspensive ski boat! but if your whole family really wants to get into water sports, then the cost depends on what kind of sports your going to do.

if your one of those families who will take the boat out like every sunday to go tubing, and maybe ride a ski, or take a wakeboard run, but ur not 100% serious about wakeboarding , then buy a family boat. i hate them cuz (most not all) throw pretty crappy wakes, they get in the real boarders way, and are anoying. but if your family just wants to have fun, they will be happy with a family boat thats comfortable, and cheap. you can also save some money by buying a boat with some close friends of yours. i have friends whose families share a boat and they love the idea! as long as the families are real close friends, this usually works out.

NOW... if your family wants to go hardcore like my family, then we need to have a whole different conversation, lol

from what it sounds like tho... you dont seem to sound too hardcore yet, but if im wrong about this please let me know cuz i can point you in the right dirrection to buying performance ski/wakeboarding boats
